warp speed.

So, somehow I thought that once October was over things would settle down and I would have time... and lots of it. Apparently I was mistaken. I mean, yesterday it was November 1st and today it is the 21st. I'm missing the last 21-ish days. Not really sure where they went. And it just dawned on me that Thanksgiving is this coming week?! How is that when you get older time flies by so quickly? When I was a child a month felt like forever. Yeah, so I'm a little ashamed that I somehow missed the passage of almost an entire month but also kinda not so secretly glad 2009 is almost over. I think I'm ready for a new beginning... a fresh start.

hello November!

Can I tell you how glad I am that it is November?! October was such a tough month between work responsibilities, church responsibilities, random stressors, and an unexpected move. I haven't been that tired in a while. I felt like there was so much to do and not enough time. Then in the height of being totally overwhelmed I started thinking about all my married friends who manage to move while taking care of themselves and their families. I don't know how they manage. At any rate, I don't think I've ever been so happy to start November.

I have really great friends. They are supportive and kind. They make me laugh. They encourage me to be better. They cheer me up and give great hugs. They say the nicest things and always make me feel so good. I wish that I could carry around Polly Pocket sized versions of my friends. That way when I have a bad day or feel a little down I could just pull one out of my pocket for a little pick me up. My dear friends... I you!

So, I had this discussion tonight about how I take pictures (and occasionally a video or two) while I drive. Kids, don't try this at home. I can't help it. I think the world is so beautiful and I love to record the things I see. Plus, it helps me to stay awake and keeps me entertained when I'm all by my lonesome. There are so many fun sights, cool structures, and stunning nature scenes that I wish I could capture them all... as they are with the naked eye. Since I can't I just settle for second best ... a drive by snap shot. So I decided to share a few. Jean Marie... the wisteria colored tree shots and monster mouth truck pic are for you. :)

I love watching birds fly. These little teeny birds fly in huge flocks back home. This isn't the best pic. I've seen some pretty big flocks and got so distracted I've actually pulled over.
